Some shopping

T and I went to Michaels on Saturday. Their cross stitch section has really gotten smaller and smaller. But I was so happy that they carried Ginghers. I bought the 3 1/2 inch Lion's Tail Embroidery Scissors (in chrome). Its so pretty! This is my 2nd Ginghers... the first one I purchased from ABC, the 3 1/2 Epaulette. I must make fobs for them! I also bought some DMC Perle Cotton floss to make cording with.

In baby news, I had a doctor's appointment today. I now weight 105.5 lbs and the baby's heart rate is 155 beats per minute. My blood pressure is also good (can't remember what it was exactly) and I am measuring okay according to the doctor. I have to do the dreaded glucose test in 3 weeks. Yuck. Hopefully it won't be as bad as it sounds. I have to drink 50g... whatever that means.

Happy Dance!

2007 will be the year of ornaments. I am still working on my model, Project X but I try to break up my time by stitching and/or finishing some ornies. The goal is to have some ornaments ready for Christmas 2007 as well as have some other seasonal ornies. I finished this freebie from Clioratha for St. Patrick's Day. I chose not to do the backstitching/outline in her design. It was stitched using DMC variegated floss 125. Its now hanging on my wall at work. :)

In other news, the baby has been kicking like crazy. Last night was a little tough. I had heartburn, both legs cramped up and my little alien was trying to stretch out. There is NOT enough space in me for her to do that. That didn't stop her from trying though. I'm not really complaining. These are minor discomforts, I actually feel relief when I feel her kick.

I am now big enough that pants are no longer as comfy as they used to be. I bought bigger pants, but the waistband just cuts my pelvis wrong when I sit. I have been lounging in the house wearing a pretty dress T picked out. I *cannot* wait for it to get warm enough to actually wear dresses outside.

As for cravings, I didn't have any today. We went to Perkins again but I didn't get a strawberry waffle. I just didn't feel like it. And I didn't eat as much as last time either.

Noreen, T thinks I'm insane too. I haven't craved for green mangoes but I do want to go to the Asian grocery store and get a jar of bagoong. :) I'm thinking of making binagoong baboy. I don't think my co-workers will be too happy when I bring that in for lunch. I better remember to bring a candle to light in the lunchroom. I don't think T will be happy with how the house will smell when I make it. LOL.

Yummy In My Tummy!

Today, T and I ran some errands. First stop was the car parts store to get a new battery and new windshield wipers for his car. Next stop was Perkins! I LOVE Perkins. They're almost always packed though and there are a bunch of diners closer to home, so we haven't gone there in ages. But I had a craving for strawberry (what else?) waffles and I also wanted hash browns - not home fries, hash browns. After a bit of a wait, maybe 10 minutes or so, we got a booth and I ordered:

But I got the strawberry waffles instead of the pancakes.

It was soooo good. The baby started kicking as soon as my fork hit the waffles. :) I *almost* ate everything. I was full, but I didn't feel stuffed! Unbelievable! I'm just eating like crazy all the time.

After breakfast, we went to Target and then Walgreens, and then back home. I don't feel as rushed this weekend as I don't have to go to work tomorrow. Yay!

I plan to bake a batch of chocolate chip cookies and I will try a banana bread recipe. I bought some bananas last week, and now they're a bit overripe. I had one banana last week and it tasted weird. That is was so odd since I normally like bananas. I don't like blueberries either. Ick. I had some yogurt a couple of weeks ago that had berries in it. I bit into a blueberry and I immediately spat it out. Ick. Ick. Ick.

So far, my major food cravings have been chicken (mostly chicken adobo and rice) and strawberries (the fruit, ice cream and milkshakes). I'm normally a chocolate person, only switching to strawberry during that time of the month. Now, I haven't had any chocolate cravings. I'll eat it if its there (but that goes for everything), I just don't crave it. What food did you crave when you were pregnant?

So Tired!

I am just absolutely exhausted! But the past few days have been very productive, so it's worth it. Saturday, I slept in, had lunch with T, went shopping for a bit, then went home. Realized that the shoes I purchased while we were out was not going to work at all. So I went out again by myself and returned the shoes and went on a quest to buy decent, warm, non-slip, FLAT boots. I finally found a decent pair that was on sale at Penneys. That trip drained me completely. I of course was parked nowhere near Penneys and had to do a lot of walking. By the time I got home, my thighs were aching.

On Sunday, we had lunch then I went food shopping by myself. I really like going alone. I usually dawddle and this drives T nuts. I took forever as usual, and by the time I was done, I was just ready to pass out. Good thing that my favorite supermarket has a free service where they will load the groceries in your car. All you have to do is pull up the front and give them your ticket.

Today was another productive day. After work, I came home and surfed a bit. Then made dinner, and then made a pineapple upside down cake for T. Its too late to try a piece now, but I'll pack some for him to take to work tomorrow. It smelled so good, I might try a *little* piece (I hate pineapple).

Now I'm tired once again. Both feet cramped up on me. Good thing not at the same time, but it still sucked. I take warm showers before I go to bed and this has helped A LOT with the horrible leg cramps I used to get (doc called them Charlie Horse?) The foot cramps really hurt (tho not as bad as the leg cramps. Those were HORRIBLE). The muscle cramps up right at the arch of my foot and any movement just makes it worse.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to prevent this from happening? Or this is normal and I'm doomed to have cramps until the baby comes?

Oh! I did stitch this weekend. But I worked on my model, so I can't show any pics.

Ugh

Why on earth did I have lasagne for dinner? Why? Why? Why? Coz I had a craving? No, it wasn't a real craving. I was CRAVING a strawberry shake, but didn't have cash on me (as usual). I WILL have a strawberry shake tomorrow though. Back to the lasagne... It looked good on the menu. And I've had it before, and I liked it. To be fair to the lasagne, it really was good. Now I'm paying for it. I believe I will be sleeping sitting up tonight. Lovely. Can't blame this on the baby. This is all my fault. The strawbery shake I WILL HAVE tomorrow, I can blame on the baby. ;)

Is it bad that I'm thinking about tomorrow's lunch already? LOL.

132 Days Left

I cannot believe I have announced it everywhere but here.

image

We were *really* hoping for a boy, but found out last Tuesday that we are having a girl. She's doing really well. Heart rate was at 156 beats per minute and very LOUD. She was moving around a lot during the ultrasound which meant a lot of pushing around the yucky gooey stuff across my belly as the tech chased her around to get pictures. At one point the little bugger was sticking her tongue out at us. It was quite amusing to watch though I was very upset that they were not able to record the ultrasound... even though I was told that I could bring a VHS tape with me and they'll record the whole thing. Girl who answered my recording question didn't realize that the machine at my doctor's office DOES NOT RECORD ultrasounds. Grrrrr.

I feel more and more movements now. Most of the time they don't really bother me... except for Sunday night when it felt like there was a mosh pit inside my belly. LOL. The restricted bending is a little bit frustrating. I won't be able to shave my legs soon. Ick! But over all, I feel fine. I never got morning sickness, don't feel nauseous. Some smells drive me nuts, but not enough to make me sick. I have a never ending NEED to eat chicken and almost nothing else.

I really should get T to take preggers pic of me... but that requires me finding the rechargeable batteries and charging them. And I have NO IDEA where I last put them.
